Main rules 1st, 2nd volley games: Siocon, Katipunan vow 2-0, 2-1

JRMSC, DIPOLOG CAMPUS VOLLEYBALL COURT – Powered with intense endurance, JRMSC – Main Campus, Dapitan despicably gave nerve plummeting tactics to rubble Siocon’s Volley Team and Katipunan Campus’ lineups seizing the scores 50 – 32 and 61 – 42, respectively ruling the sets 2-0, 2-1 of the 5th JRMSC System Meet – Men Volleyball Elimination Tournament Games 1 and 2.

Viewed by a throng of spectators, the first game of the volley tournament named the Main Campus team as providential against Siocon’s.
In the initial set of the match, they announced an early lead when they delivered Alfie Andag, Edward Pahuway and Mike Abria trio in the facade who by harsh granting of successful spikes and smashes advanced their team’s marking score versus Siocon’s extreme duo Joel Canama and Armand Sumalinog.
The team’s invariable striking effects spiced with solid defense egged the Siocon’s to the selfish dusk, 50 – 32. The Main Campus’ taste of straightforward victory against Siocon’s volley players was flattened when their vigorous Katipunan rival played-off Game 2 was determined.
The first set of the game was spotted a seesaw clash as the lead changes several times dotting the score 7 – 5, in favor of Dapitan. But, the record was changed when spiker Pahuway employed his lightning serves which landed on the opponent’s court unsaved.
However, eager Katipunan players were able to recover by crutching up points due intensive resistance and victorious hits with the relentless spiking kills of Garry dela Banda, Ronald Mayola and the rest of the six giving up 14-point lead clinching the second set throne, 25 – 11.
In the final set, the Main Campus’ selected six then demonstrated their superb game tactics.
Taking no chance, Romy Butuan stepped out with the support of Edmund Caermare, Rowe Ruiz, Mike Abria, Junie Ediza and Alfie Andag quintet, launching his booming spikes with the quintet’s guard which spoiled the prospect of sweeping the lead.
The Katipunan Team tried to resist sending off Bobit Guman solo but a service ace wrecked up the match with Dapitan’s triumph.
"The match is indeed a game well-played, it was not a collision of strength but a conclave of great players who have learned the value of true sportsmanship," JRMSC, Main Campus Head Coach Randy G. Elopre stressed.
