Vidal caps Mutya sa Handuraw ‘06 crown

DAPITAN CITY CULTURAL AND SPORTS CENTER - Lewelyn Vidal, a second year Bachelor of Science in Commerce student of JRMSC Main Campus who represented Gloria de Dapitan, transgressed the wit, splendor and confidence of the other beauteous ladies representing different agencies and schools around the City of Dapitan and overwhelmingly brought home the crown as the first "Mutya sa Handuraw 2006" last December 28.

Vidal who carried her lucky number five bagged the special awards Ms. Nature Spring, Ms. Flawless, Face of the Night, Best in Production Number, Miss Photogenic and Darling of the Crowd. Her stunning stage deportment and poise also gave way for her to effortlessly grab the two minor awards namely; Best in Subanen Inspired Attire and Best in Filipiniana Attire.

Rizal Memorial Institutes' Karen Grace Sabanal seized the First Runner-up spot and gripped the awards Ms. Renew Placenta, Ms. Glowing Skin, Ms. Telegenic and Best Speaker. Her smoothness and prowess in answering the tricky final question put Jane Myra Galleposo of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation to acquire the Second Runner- up crown.
Denissa Paalisbo of Dakak National High School got the Miss Congeniality Award and Barcelona National High School's Nikky Lou Repolledo took the Miss Professionalism Award.

The prestigious battle of Dapitanon beauty and brain was fairly judged by prominent personalities expert in pageants chaired by Dr. Henry A. Sojor with Ms. Midea Trani and Dr. Flordeliz Ejercito as his members. Maricon Fabian hosted the search and Janet Grace Sarzuelo anchored the aforesaid. Jay D. Telen was the over-all chairman of the First Mutya sa Handuraw 2006.
