Dapitan City CSC sets 6th Ballet recital

Dapitan City Cultural and Sports Center (DCSC) - With their expertise, grace, invigorating foot and hand flipping movements, the 6th Ballet Recital featuring "The Dancing Dolls" was lucratively done on the shimmering evening of December 29, 2006 as the ballet dancers proved their worth.

The annual Battle of Ballet Dances including Tahitians and Hawaiian Dances elevated the spirits and made the audience become more and more thrilled and keyed up. It was the tiptoe step of the entertainers that really dazed the crowd seeing Dapitanons competing in the global arena.
Little ballet dancers ranging from ages three to five years old with their supportive and encouraging parents stunned and beset the whole DCCS Center and made the show more remarkable to see tiny dancers dancing with their leotards and ballet shoes.
The globally competitive "Indak Pinoy" Dance Troupe also made the show more successful as they gave their folk dance performances called "Lanceros de Tayabas" and "Lapay Bantigue" and ethnic dances named "Janggay" and the unique "Silong sa Ganding" with kulintang guiding the aforesaid dance.

The Shrine City Ballet Organization is under the tutelage of the ever-known Dapitan dance instructor Henedina Z. Rocamora with Carneil D. Elumbaring and Jereny D. Narvaez assisting her. She is also the trainer and choreographer of Indak Pinoy Dance Troupe.

The show was hosted by Mrs. Joji T. Recamara.
