Dipolog champs taekwondo men, Dapitan grabs women division finals


Seizing four gold medals in the different divisions after the tedious battle of defense and kicks, red team of Dipolog Campus for men and the blue team of the Main Campus for women champed the Taekwondo tilt held on November 21, 2007 beside the JRMSC Dipolog Campus Outdoor Stage.

Jason Hechanova of the Fin Division (M) captured the first spot followed by Mark Jun Araola (DapC) who edged Faustino Villalon (TC) to the third spot. Another gold medal for Jeber Alferez brought the blue team to the top in the Flyweight Division. He was pursued by Eliezor Dumpac (TC) and Jhonrel Andag (DapC).
Meanwhile, Junrey Ajero (DapC) topped the Bantamweight Division kicking Jun Flores (TC) and Felmar Salomia (DipC) to the second and third place, respectively. Featherweight Division was also captured by the host campus with Jemar Alferez leading Chris Angelo Denolan (DapC) and Robinson Adlawon (TC). Jyke Hamoy (DapC) stood out in the Lightweight Division with Gilbert Lacquio (DipC) and Joy Balbin (TC) following him. Reynante Hernandez (DipC) showed out in the Welterweight Division leaving Cyril Caminio (DapC) and Redono Leonor (TC) hanging on the second and third places.

In the Women’s Division, Geraldine Jauculan (DapC) made it to the top spot in the Fin and Flyweight Divisions bringing two gold medals for the Main Campus. Felma Alaro (TC) and Irene Gaytera (DipC) followed her in the Fin Division while Genavie Quentero (DipC) and Analou Paquirquir (TC) were on the second and third spots for the Fly weight Division.
Adding one gold medal, Mary Therese Bayron (DApC) seized the Bantamweight Division and she was followed by Jocelyn Morales (DipC). While Nena Belga (DapC) had the second spot for the Featherweight Division, Joana Aquil (DipC) made it to the snatch the gold. Ma. Riffy Cerezo (DipC) won the Lightweight Division with Emily Castillo (DapC) succeeding her. Rosalin Estrera brought the last gold for the Main Campus in the Welterweight Division piloting Angeline Ibero (DipC) to the second spot.

Dapitan and Dipolog kickers once more added gold medals to their respective campus as they aim for triumph.
