11th JRMSC Charter Day celebrated

TOGETHER WITH THE JRMSC System faculty and staff and students, Cong. Cecilia Jalosjos- Carreon, First District Representative, and Gov. Rolando E. Yebes of Zamboanga del Norte, an opening program formally unfastened the JRMSC Inner Quadrangle Stage to exalt the 11th Charter Day Celebration of the renowned institution in Zamboanga del Norte, Jose Rizal Memorial State College (JRMSC) last June 11, 2007.

Clinching on the theme, “One Vision, One Mission, One Family”, the commencing program was highlighted with the diverse presentations of flairs and panache from among the satellite campuses of JRMSC System- Dapitan, Main Campus, Dipolog Campus, Katipunan Campus and Siocon Campus.

In the program, Dr. Edgar S. Balbuena, JRMSC System President, conferred his message to the school and bestowed his warmest felicitations and appreciation to the presence of the prominent people who sacrificed their schedule, as he said, just to bond with the celebration. Consequently, Cong. Cecilia Jalosjos Carreon also addressed her plans for the institution, which was immediately tagged along with the talk of Gov. Rolando E. Yebes who pointed out the significance of JRMSC’s existence and noteworthy contributions for the province. Mrs. Quindhe M. Banquiao hosted the opening program.

After the opening program, a motorcade participated by the faculty and staff of the school system, as well as the prominent guests, then followed.

After lunch, the second part of the celebration then came into view highlighted by the fashion show initiated by Mr. Jessie Flores and Prof. Wilfredo D. Carreon at the College of Education Function Hall. The chosen models from the students of JRMSC walked the runway wearing stunning and attention-grabbing Filipiniana gowns, which created sophistication of the models and elegance of the said show.

The third part of the celebration focused on the singing talents of the faculty and staff of the school system as the “videoke challenge” was initiated. Dr. Edgar S. Balbuena led the challenge as he sang first, followed by the VPAA Cecilia S. Saguin, then the subsequent challengers from different campuses.

Later, the Main Campus Dean of the College of Education emerged the best challenger in the competition of singing prowess. The last part of the celebration was underscored with socialization and dancing of the faculty and staff.

The one-day celebration of the school’s charter marked the foundation to face new challenges that would eventually strengthen the institution’s philosophy, vision and mission.
